Acai berry diet

Acai berry diet plan does not require too much of planning as no matter what other diet or exercise plan you are on, this wonder fruit will work for you. Acai berry’s popularity has sky rocketed ever since it was crowned the no. 1 super food of the world by Dr. Perricone. Though there are a lot of other fruits and food items on the list, Acai berry tops the list.

Acai berry diet plan became a fad among everyone especially among obese people when it was endorsed by Oprah herself. She admitted to have lost a few pounds after trying Acai berry diet plan. Though it cannot be denied that for best results Acai berry diet should be combined with some exercise plan as well, this wonder fruit works well reducing fat easily.

Acai berry diet works very fast if you combine it with colon cleansing which means you clean your colons which has years of waste, doing nothing but stopping your digestion from working properly. What really happens is that all the food we eat is not digested by our system. Digested food is excreted by the system while the undigested food remains there. As we keep eating meals after meals that are full of junk, a huge deposit of undigested food is built up in our colons.

Unless we free up our colons of waste sludge, no diet plan can help us reduce fat. The same is true for Acai berry diet plan as well. Once your colon is clean and you keep taking acai berry you reduce your weight substantially. Reports say that up to 15lbs in 3 weeks can be easily reduced if you stick to an exercise plan combined with acai supplement.

It works fine, however if you are in a hurry and want to lose fat that took years to deposit in a week it is not possible even with acai berry diet plan. You need to continue taking acai supplement for at least 4 weeks continuously to see the results.

Long Term and Short Term Effects of Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol or booze is a depressant which is marketed in liquid form and drunk. The alcohol drinks can be sold in form of beer, and wine or liquor. When drunk, the alcohol enters the system via the stomach where it is then processed by the body. The alcohol will enter the bloodstream and will enter all of the tissues within the body, no organ is spared.

Short Term Effects

The short term effects of alcohol can really depend on a variety of things like the person’s physical size, weight and age, even sex. But these will also get affected by the amount of food ingested by the individual while drinking the alcohol.

Some of the other effects of moderate alcohol intake may also depend on the person: some are happy, some get depressed, some get quite while others get talkative and there are some who get aggressive. Some become uninhibited in a party while some just go off to a sound sleep after the alcohol takes effect.

Larger amounts of alcohol intake can be seen in slurred speech, nausea, vomiting, dementia and repressed motor reflexes. As the alcohol can depress the judgement and motor coordination, it is illegal to drive when drinking alcohol.

Aggressive behaviour and alcoholism is one of the most common causes of child abuse and domestic abuse. The hangover can also have an effect on the individual as this is usually accompanied by headaches, fatigue, nausea and vomiting.

Long Term Effects

The prolonged and heavy use of alcohol will lead to alcohol addiction or alcoholism. Anyone who suddenly ceases the extensive drinking will experience withdrawal symptoms which may or may not include: tremors, headaches, hallucinations, convulsions and anxiety.

When the long term use of alcohol is combined with poor eating habits leading to poor nutrition, this could lead to permanent damage to the organs of the body including the brain and the liver. Those women who continue to drink despite the fact that they are pregnant can give birth to infants of low birth weight, mental retardation, and in many cases foetal alcoholism. The infants can suffer other physical abnormalities on top of everything else.

There have been studies which have shown that alcoholic parents raise children who are at great risk of being alcoholics when they reach adulthood. In fact, there have already been increasing and alarming statistics which show that more and more young adults and teenagers who are becoming alcoholics. There are also research results which link genetics and alcoholism – there are some people who are easily prone to alcohol addiction compared to others.

If you are going to drink alcohol, it is best to know what you are drinking and your risk of alcohol addiction. If you belong to a family where alcoholism is common, then you may belong to the high risk group for alcoholism. If you have not yet taken to drinking alcohol, it is best to find out all about alcoholism and how the addiction can cause harm to your body and your life.

Americans Playing Handball is Rare, but Happens

While handball may be a hot thing in Brazil, especially on the beaches, it’s not the sport of choice for most Americans, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t people out there trying to defy the great odds at reaching super stardom in this growing sport.

Who would have thought some men from Utah would be breaking into the handball scene?

The US under 19 handball team was recently chronicled in an online story published first in Google news – but it’s popularity is spreading.  Hailing from Utah are three players, and the rest of the US team is made up of players from five other States.  The team is headed to play in the PAN AM games in Venezuela and will be in a tournament that plays – you guessed it – Brazil.

This is the first time the USA will be represented in this tournament.

While most American men choose to play sports like baseball, hockey, swimming, tennis, soccer, basketball, football – or even sports lesser known like rugby or golf, handball is a sport that is a global sport and played on a court that can be on a beach.  This website is made to increase awareness on the sport of beach handball, but we cover all aspects of handball and try to increase awareness to this growing global sport.

If you are playing handball in Brazil, it’s important you are prepared for it – both inside and out.  First off, you need to ensure you are in peak physical form – handball is an easy sport to pick up but a very hard one to master and conquer.  Most handball players who prefer the beach scene are in great shape.  It’s also a time to be sure you are protecting yourself from all the elements out there – mainly – the sun.  When in the sun, you can suffer from skin damage and need a product such as an anti aging eye cream, eye serum, or therapeutic sunblock.  A brand that has been growing in skin care is Wrinkle System, makers of a wrinkle reduction cream, neck cream, and many other products.  Perhaps the most successful product they offer is the Dark Circle Eye Serum, an all out attack on dark under eye circles and bags, puffiness, and other signs of aging.  You can buy their skin products online from them directly or from Amazon.com.

Wrinkle System is a sponsor of handball tournaments, often lending their anti aging sunblock to players and fans in order to increase awareness of their brand.

The Sun is Hot in Brazil – Watch Your Skin to Prevent Wrinkles

Looking old is a scary thought and yet the very lifestyle we lead can be the leading cause of the premature aging.   It’s a well known fact that the sun is a major cause of wrinkles and other skin damage.  If you have ever been to Brazil, you know just how hot it can be.  Your skin can get wrinkled at a very fast pace!

This entry will help you find some good skin care tips and help you avoid getting in trouble with your skin while in beautiful Brazil.

Wrinkle creams may work up to a certain point, but there is more to wrinkles and aging than believed and one important prevention approach deals with diet.

Wrinkle creams can help a lot of men and women especially if they avoid too much sun exposure, smoking and practice skin care methods to keep the skin healthy. But there is also the food which could either increase the skin’s vulnerability or strengthen it. The following are food groups which are considered as skin friendly:

  • Yellow and orange fruits and vegetables like oranges, bananas, carrots, apricots, peaches, etc.
  • Blueberries
  • Leafy green vegetables like spinach
  • Tomatoes
  • Peas and lentils and some beans
  • Fish
  • Some nuts

On the other hand, there are foods which can cause damage to the skin. And these are the high fat and high carbohydrate content foods. Think junk food which is the most common and most delicious of the foods that billions of people enjoy eating today. These are also the main causes of childhood obesity.

It is very important to remember that good food can promote good health and that includes healthy skin. So it is important to look at the whole picture from afar and not to focus on what should and should not be eaten. Look at the general health of the body when considering food for the skin.

For one thing, a good diet will not go far without exercise and lots of water. The exercise makes it easier for the body to get rid of the toxins and the water is there for hydration of the body from deep within the cells.

When eating, think about eating more fresh fruits and vegetables for these not only contain the roughage you body needs to remove toxic materials from the GI tract, but it also contains a lot of amino acids which can make the body absorb more nutrients and also help protect the system from toxins produced by harmful bacteria, fungi and parasites.

Do not eat processed foods too much for these contain a lot of synthetic substances that could harm the body and they also contain a lot of free radicals well known to destroy cells easily.

When taking dairy products, choose the low fat or the fat free products, although it would also harm the body if you totally eliminate fat from the diet.

For carbohydrates, choose whole grain breads and pasta or English style cooked rice which are boiled and drained rather than steamed.

And please, try to avoid too many sweets in the form of hydration fluids like energy drinks. These are just sugar boosters which give the body a false sense of energy and effectively starve out the body.

If signs of aging appear to be only around your eyes, check out an eye serum for the best method of smoothing this fine, deteriorating skin from aging.  There are plenty of eye serums that work within weeks.

When it comes to keeping the skin healthy, the best wrinkle creams and the right diet and exercise should work hand in hand and complement each other.  If you don’t know where to find anti aging products, it’s best to look for consumer wrinkle cream review sites.

Brazilian Vacation Specials

For most people who are looking to travel outside of the USA, there are many apprehensions that come to mind that end up being prohibitive in the end.  Many people are afraid to travel – fearing danger, problems at airports, not knowing the language, etc.  Those are all valid excuses and it’s hard to argue with people who don’t speak the local tongue, but the fact remains, Brazil and other countries are unique and can be fantastic experiences that create memories that last an entire lifetime.

Can you afford to travel to Brazil?

Once you get past the cost of air travel, which can be expensive no matter what part of the world (outside of South America) you hail from, Brazil is very affordable.

Compared to most other countries, Brazil is rather cheap.  Even though the dollar has been on a downward trend since 2006, the Real, the official currency of Brazil, is affordable to purchase and exchange.

For tourists, this is a list of the normal things that people buy and how much they cost in Brazil. Take a look at some of the services people constantly buy and pay for while on vacation.  It’s a good overview of what’s going on.

If you are like me, you probably think the airplane ride is too far.  From Miami you are looking at about 6+ hours.  That’s a long haul, and places like Colombia, Costa Rica, and Panama are about half that flight time.  Some people won’t fly that far because they can’t smoke a cigarette for so long.  Well, for me, I have been using a V2 Cigs Electronic Cigarette for my panic moments in the airport.  It’s been a nice way to puff away on something that is simulating a real tobacco cigarette but that can be puffed anywhere.

For tourists, Brazil is cheap.
If you look around the Internet, Brazil has some affordable lodging and hotel room rates.  You’ll find that unless you are in an ultra luxury place, you will pay far less than a vacation in the United States or Canada.

Food is very affordable, with the rodizio all you can eat Brazilian steakhouses being very popular now.  Some of the spirit of those joints have spurred progress to have the same experience in fine Brazilian dining in the USA.

Some prices of interest:
Internet Rental:   R$3 – 5 per hour
Beers: R$ 2 – 3 per 600 ml bootle; R$ 1 – 2 per 350 ml can
Taxi Rides:   R$ 3 – 6 per km
Big mac from McDonalds : R$ 4 – 5; .  (Sandwiches are about half that!)
A large pizza: R$ 20 – 30
A movie ticket : R$ 5 – 15
Pack of cigarettes (20 pieces, king size): from as low as R$1 (local brands) to about R$4 (international brands).  Although, many people are now smoking electronic cigarettes.
